Abstract

Negli ultimi anni è cresciuto l'interesse verso pratiche progettuali ispirate a fenomeni e organismi naturali, da ibridare in sintetici gusci e strutture. La rappresentazione digitale guida progetti concentrati sull'aspetto evolutivo della forma, consentendo un approccio scultoreo alla modellazione.L’articolo racconta di come la piega dei volumi scatolari, decostruiti e frammentati, si sia liquefatta in statici embrioni da abitare. Grazie alle potenzialità del computer, che forse condizionano più che servire la progettazione, così siamo passati alla programmabile deformazione degli involucri e alla scrittura di codici per la definizione di strutture a pattern ricorsivi, tuttavia la costruzione di artefatti noti come “architetture generative” non fa che ricalcare consolidati metodi e saperi della rappresentazione, coniugandoli con le attuali tecniche disponibili.
