Abstract

La cospicua presenza di stranieri migranti nei centri urbani ha aperto il dibattito sulle società multietniche, attributo chiave per la lettura delle città contemporanee, definibili come spazi translinguistici e transculturali in cui si attivano stili di vita e concezioni della comunità di appartenenza e di accoglienza differenti. Il paesaggio urbano, in effetti, racconta tante storie, diverse quanti sono i gruppi che partecipano alla sua costruzione. Per questo rappresenta un vero e proprio macrotesto comunicativo, la cui struttura evidenzia l’intreccio e il livello di commistione tra gli elementi che lo compongono, e i cui segni linguistici dichiarano e rendono visibile la presenza dell’“altro”, ricostruendo altresì la rete che unisce il “qui” del tempo dell’azione quotidiana al “lì” rievocato nella memoria e nelle “narrative urbane” dei migranti.
