Dr. Erhan Vecdi Küçükerbaş February, 1999 This research has been carried out in order to discover application of planting design and the policy of plant material production, as a result of the investigation on landscape design applications and production and selling foundations in Izmir, by the Master Thesis at Ege University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Landscape Architecture. The applications of planting design which have been realized in Izmir, were basicly studied on the direction of planting design elements and principles. In the examples of planting design in Izmir, it was attained the effections of styles and trends, which are found in garden and landscape art history, and also the function of the plants. Bu bitkisel tasarım örneklerinde, bahçe ve peyzaj sanat tarihinde yer alan tarz ve akımlardan etkilenme durumu ile bitkilerin işlevlerine de değinilmiştir.
