Abstract

Amaç: Araştırma, gebelik yogasının gebelik semptomlarına etkisini belirlemekamacıyla ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel bir çalışma olarakgerçekleştirildi.Gereç ve yöntem: Araştırma Kocaeli'de Darıca Farabi Eğitim AraştırmaHastanesi'nin Gebe Okulu'nda 27.06.18 - 31.10.18 tarihleri arasında yürütüldü.Araştırmanın örneklemini kadın doğum polikliniğine başvuran ve araştırmayakatılmayı kabul eden 70 gebe (deney grubu=35; kontrol grubu=35) oluşturdu.Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak tanımlayıcı bilgi formu (TBF), GebelikSemptom Envanteri (GSE) ve Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ) kullanıldı. Deneygrubuna girişim olarak 4 haftalık, haftada 1 gün 60 dk gebelik yogası programıuygulandı. Kontrol grubuna herhangi bir girişim uygulanmadı. Elde edilen verileristatistik programı dâhilinde analiz edildi.Bulgular: Çalışma sonucunda elde ettiğimiz veriler değerlendirildiğinde, deneygrubundaki katılımcıların uygulama öncesi ve sonrası GSE semptom sıklığı toplampuanları karşılaştırıldığında uygulama öncesi 38.42±18.76 olan puanın32.77±16.55'e düştüğü ve puanlar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olduğubelirlendi (p=0.038). Deney grubunun uygulama öncesi ve sonrası gastrointestinalsistem semptom sıklığı, solunum sistemi semptom sıklığı ve mental sağlık semptomsıklığı puanları arasında da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu (sırasıyla;p=0.01, p=0.03, p=0.004). Kontrol grubunun uygulama öncesi ve sonrası puanlarıarasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmadı.Sonuç ve öneriler: Çalışmadan elde ettiğimiz bulgular doğrultusunda gebelikyogasının mental sağlık başta olmak üzere kardiyovasküler sistem ve solunumsistemi üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğu söylenebilir. The Effect of Pregnancy Yoga on Pregnancy SymptomsObjective: The study is conducted as a quasi-experimentwith pre-test post testcontrol groups, in order to determine the effect of pregnancy yoga on pregnancysymptoms.Materials and Methods: The study was performed at the Pregnant School ofDarıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital in Kocaeli. It was performed onbetween 27 June 2018 - 31 October 2018. The study group consisted of 70 pregnantwomen (experimental group=35; control group=35) who admitted to the obstetricsclinic and accepted to participate in thes tudy. Descriptive information survey (DIS),Pregnancy Symptom Inventory (PSI) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) wereused as datacollection tools. An intervention 4 week program (once a week with 60minutes lenght) is applied to experimental group. No intervention was applied topregnant women in the control group. The data were analyzed with in the statisticalprogram.Results: Aftere valuating the results of the study, comparing total score of pretestand post- test GSE symptom frequency of the participants in the experimentalgroup it has been assessed that there is statistical significance and the score hasdecreased to 32.77±16.55 from before application of test 38.42±18.76 (p=0.038).statistically significant difference is also found on pre- test and post- testgastrointestinal system, respiratory system and mental health symptom frequency(p=0.01, p=0.03, p=0.004).Conclusion and recommendations: According to the findings obtained fromthe study, it can be said that pregnancy yoga has a positive effect on cardiovascularsystem and respiratory system, especially on mental health.
