Narration can not be composed independent from time. While the actual narrations are seeking the genuineness of the time, distances get close by new technologies. The digital context of the inciting ground built-up by technologic patterns becomes an infinite source supplying art with its position that continuously renews itself and opens alternative fields. The thesis study named ?Art and Mew Media in Turkey?, formed over the connection of work of art reflecting the genuineness of time with the actual technologies, examines the technologic ground in the digital context that composes an axis for art. It brings forward and discusses the reflection of new media in Turkey on artistic narrations. From the work of art it tries to comprehend the connection of the artists composing on this ground with the source they are nourished by.This research concentrates on two axes. The section named ?New Media? theoretically and technically discusses the meaning of new media. It brings forward the relation of new media with artistic dynamics on the process of composition. It examines the interactive extent of the narration composed on the digital character of new technologies and the conceptualization of this extent in the context of art.The section named ?Art and New Media Across Turkey? addresses the connection of the modern and postmodern periods with the industry and communication revolutions and the reflection of the diffractions on this connection over the artistic field in Turkey. It observes the composition area by the work of art presented by the artists nourished with these changes.As a result of the dynamic relation in between art and technology, the traditional composition conditions are changed by the increasing reflection of `photograph?, `sound?, `video?, `computer? and `internet? over the expression of artists, distances are surpassed by new medias and artistic expression meets an expanding evolution. While the language of art is reaching infinity, the evergreen technologic context of `new` continues to perform intermediation for new expressions by its dynamic structure.

Anlatı zamandan bağımsız kurulamaz. Güncel anlatılar kendi zamanının özgünlüğünü ararken yeni teknolojilerle mesafeler giderek daralır. Teknolojik örgülerle kurulan kışkırtıcı zeminin dijital bağlamı, kendini sürekli yenileyen, alternatif alanlar açan konumuyla sanatı besleyen sonsuz bir kaynak haline gelir. Zamanın özgünlüğünü yansıtan sanat yapıtlarının güncel teknolojilerle kurdukları bağ üzerinde şekillenen ?Türkiye'de Sanat ve Yeni Medya? adlı tez çalışması sanata eksen oluşturan teknolojik zemini dijital bağlamda irdeler. Türkiye bağlamında yeni medyaların sanatsal anlatılara yansımasını gündeme getirir ve tartışır. Bu zeminde üreten sanatçıların beslendikleri kaynakla ilişkilerini, yapıtlar üzerinden okumaya çalışır.Bu araştırma iki eksen üzerinde yoğunlaşır. ?Yeni Medya? başlıklı bölüm, yeni medyanın içerdiği anlamı teorik ve teknik olarak tartışır. Yeni medyaların üretim süreçlerinde sanatsal dinamiklerle kurduğu ilişkiyi gündeme getirir. Yeni teknolojilerin dijital karakteri üstünde kurulan anlatının interaktif boyutunu ve bu boyutun sanat bağlamında nasıl kavramsallaştığını irdeler.?Türkiye Ölçeğinde Sanat ve Yeni Medya? başlıklı bölüm, modern ve postmodern süreçlerin sanayi ve iletişim devrimleriyle olan bağı ve bu bağ üzerinde yaşanan kırılmaların Türkiye bağlamında sanatsal alana yansımasını ele alır. Bu değişimlerden beslenen sanatçıların ortaya koydukları yapıtlar üstünden üretim alanını gözlemler.Sanatın teknolojiyle kurduğu devinimli ilişkinin sonucunda `fotoğraf', `ses', `video', `bilgisayar' ve `internet'in sanatçıların söylemlerine giderek daha fazla oranda yansıması geleneksel anlamdaki üretim koşullarını değişime uğratır, yeni medyalar yoluyla menzil aşılır, sanatsal söylem genişleyen bir açılımla buluşur. Sanatın dili sonsuza uzanırken, `yeni'nin kendini sürekli güncelleyen teknolojik bağlamı devinerek yeni söylemlere aracılık etmeyi sürdürür.
