Semplice, concreto, efficace

Abstract

Da venticinque anni mi chiedo spesso quali possano essere le idee e le strategie che possano fare in modo che l’architettura migliori la qualità della vita delle persone. Mi chiedo come sono riusciti certi architetti a fare architetture capaci di modificare lo stato delle cose e quali ingredienti hanno usato per cucinare quel piatto. Mi chiedo, al contrario, come la società contemporanea sia riuscita a fare luoghi di vita spesso invivibili avendo esempi di eccezionale livello nella memoria, e come si continui a compiere sistematicamente gli stessi errori. Non ho le risposte precise a queste domande ma, dopo inevitabili errori (gli errori sono le uniche cose che fanno crescere, ti permettono di scoprire qualcosa di nuovo), ho capito che gli architetti capaci di costruire architetture che migliorano la qualità di vita delle persone fanno semplicemente le cose in modo diverso da come le fanno tutti gli altri. In modo semplice, concreto, efficace.
