Abstract

Il saggio illustra le fasi costruttive dell'odierno Duomo di Udine nella prima metà del Trecento, correlando l'analisi della struttura e degli spazi architettonici alla documentazione scritta reperita inerente la chiesa. Si è così potuto circoscrivere il periodo più probabile di fondazione dell'edificio, avvenuta tra secondo e terzo decennio del Trecento, nonché delineare la sua fisionomia originaria e le trasformazioni subite con l'aggiunta di nuove cappelle.
