Abstract

Dieser Artikel behandelt eine Ergänzung zum Korpus der Beamtenbriefe aus dem Eanna-Tempelarchiv in Uruk aus der frühen neubabylonischen Zeit und enthält eine Neuedition des Briefs mit auführlichem Kommentar. Als Absender wird der Verwaltungsdirektor des Amurru-Tempels im Meerland dieser Zeit vorgeschlagen, wodurch der Brief an den Beginn der Herrschaft Nebukadnezars II datiert werden kann. Diese Zuschreibung basiert auf einer Analyse der Interaktionsmuster verschiedener Beamter, der chronologischen Verteilung eines spezifischen rhetorischen Elements wie auch auf dem Inhalt des Briefes selbst.
