La enseñanza de las enfermedades transmitidas por los alimentos (ETA) desde la geografía de la salud

Abstract

Durante la época de los noventa, las clases de Geografía en la escuela secundaria de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina) se centraban en el estudio de los componentes físico-biológicos y las regiones geográficas (Cordero y Svarzman, 2015). En la actualidad, dentro de los diseños curriculares (DC) de la escuela secundaria, se desarrolla una Geografía Social que trata de implementar una mirada de diferentes enfoques en relación con las problemáticas actuales en torno a la política, la economía, el ambiente y la cultura, como dimensiones en la conformación del espacio (DGCyE, 2010 y 2011). En este tipo de Geografía, la alimentación es uno de los temas centrales, ya que juega un papel fundamental en la formación de la ciudadanía (García Pérez, 2015). En Argentina, más específicamente en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, los contenidos de Geografía se presentan desde el primer año hasta el sexto, dependiendo la orientación y la modalidad.
