Nuevas contribuciones para el desarrollo de emociones positivas en niños

Abstract

El desarrollo de emociones positivas cobra un papel importante en la promoción de la salud mental infantil. Emociones como la alegría, la satisfacción personal y la serenidad participan en la creación y florecimiento de otros importantes recursos psicosociales vinculados al bienestar. No obstante, y a pesar del enorme esfuerzo realizado en distintas latitudes, se tiene escaso conocimiento acerca de las técnicas, estrategias y recursos que pueden implementarse para estimular con éxito las emociones positivas en la infancia. El objetivo de este trabajo es discutir una selección de técnicas que podrían resultar especialmente útiles para llevar a cabo este objetivo en niños escolarizados. Se trata de técnicas cognitivo-comportamentales, que han mostrado su eficacia en la práctica clínica, y de otras contribuciones particularmente relevantes para la intervención socioeducativa.
