Abstract

Utestenging fra arbeidslivet er ikke bare alvorlig for individet, men det er også samfunnsøkonomisk uheldig. Retten til deltakelse i arbeidslivet og myndighetenes ambisjon vises gjennom aktiv arbeidsmarkedspolitikk. Likevel gjenspeiles ikke intensjonen i statistikken. I denne litteraturstudien forsøker jeg å belyse på hvilken måte arbeidsgivers holdninger kan ha betydning for arbeidsinkludering av mennesker med funksjonsnedsettelser. Dette ved hjelp av teori om avvik og teorien om sosialkonstruksjonismen. Kunnskap om bakenforliggende mekanismer og forhold som påvirker arbeidsgivers beslutninger vil være sentralt for å få til varig arbeidstilknytning for mennesker som utestenges. Som sosionomer har vi i tillegg plikt til å sette søkelys på diskriminerende samfunnsforhold og strukturer som bidrar til utstøting og sosiale problemer. Et viktig poeng i denne oppgaven har vært å belyse at verdier og virkelighetsoppfatning påvirker holdning og atferd. Positive og inkluderende mellommenneskelige verdier og holdninger vil derfor være grunnleggende for å minske gapet mellom visjonene og realitetene i inkluderingspolitikken.
