Kıbrıs'ın Kuzeyinde Covid-19 Etkisi ve Dönüşen Medya Pratikleri

Abstract

ÖZ:2019’un sonlarında Çin’in Wuhan kentinde ortaya çıkan Covid-19 pandemisi, tüm dünyayı etkilediği gibi, Kıbrıs’ın kuzeyini de tesiri altına almıştır. Tüm dünya aynı anda bu pandemiyi yaşarken medya her zaman olduğu gibi bilgiyi yayan, tartışan ve kamuoyu oluşturan bir mecra olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışma, Covid-19 pandemisinin etkisi ile Kıbrıs’ın kuzeyindeki medya pratiklerinin dönüşümü üzerine gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilen ve Covid-19 sürecinde Kıbrıs Türk medyasında aktif görev alan 8 gazeteci ile yapılan röportajlarla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma nitel bir çalışma olup içerik analizi kullanılarak analiz edilmiş ve temalar oluşturulmuştur. Bu çalışmada öne çıkan temalar kanaat önderi, bilgi kirliliği, yurttaş gazeteciliği, filtreleme, kamuoyu yaratma, altyapı yetersizliği, geleneksel ve dijital medya farkı ve izlenirlik oranı temalarıdır. Çalışma, ‘Covid-19 etkisi ile Kıbrıs'ın kuzeyindeki medya pratiklerinin dönüşümü nasıl gerçekleşmiştir?’ sorusuna medya insanlarının deneyimlerinden yola çıkarak cevap aramaktadır. Çalışma, medya insanlarının deneyimlerden yola çıkarak böylesi özel bir dönemde Kıbrıs Türk medya pratikleri betimlemeye çalışmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonucunda röportajlarda öne çıkan temalar genel olarak değerlendirilmiş ve medya okuryazarlığının önemi vurgulanmıştır. In the late 2019, the Covid-19 pandemic which emerged in Wuhan city of 2019 has also influenced the whole world as well as the North of Cyprus. In the same time, the entire world has occured as a media that emitting the pandemic, which emitted media information, discuss and form public opinion. The study was carried out on the conversion of the media practices North of Cyprus with the effect of Covid-19 pandemic. The research was performed interviews with 8 journalists who are selected in the Turkish Cypriot media selected using the sampling method. The research is analyzed and the themes were analyzed using ‘content analysis’ method. In this study, the themes leading to canaate leaders, information pollution, citizenship journalism, filtration, public creation, infrastructure, traditional and digital media difference and monitoring rate themes. This study is looking forward to the experiences of media people to search the answer of this question; ‘How has been the conversion of media practices in North of Cyprus during the Covid-19 effect?’. The study works to describe the practices of North Cyprus Turkish media in such a special period, such as the experiences of media people. The themes in the interviews are generally evaluated in the interviews on the importance of media literacy is emphasized.
