The chapter focuses on the development of Bulgarian neology and neography approximately as of the mid-twentieth century to the present day. I am mainly looking into monographs, thematic collections, studies and articles, in which demonstrations of innovative processes and tendencies in lexis and word-formation are subject to neological research. Along with that, I take into account papers with broader lexicological scope (e.g., textbooks on Bulgarian lexicology and phraseology) raising new, original and inspirational findings in contemporary developments in the Bulgarian lexicological and word-formation system. A separate section is then dedicated to the Bulgarian dictionaries of new words and publications on the theoretical and methodological aspects on the neographical description of the latest layer in the Bulgarian vocabulary.
