Abstract

El uso extendido de las enzimas peroxidasas (POD) está siendo una revolución biotecnológica en nuestro siglo. La infinidad de aplicaciones que se pueden atribuir a estas enzimas hace que sean una importante fuente de ingresos. El uso extendido de la peroxidasa de rábano picante, horsderadish peroxidase o también conocida como HRP, se debe generalmente a su potencial de conjugación con inmunoglobulinas y su facilidad para ser observada en pruebas colorimétricas. Aunque, tanto la purificación de HRP como su exportación son procesos caros en definitiva. El uso de enzimas peroxidasas secretadas por plantas (Clase III) como la procedente de zanahoria, Daucus carota, puede suponer no solo un ahorro en los métodos de purificación sino salvar los problemas que presenta la HRP para reaccionar con nuevos sustratos. En general el uso alternativo de una POD de la Clase III secretada por plantas puede suponer un avance significativo en la utilización del enzima así como la obtención de un producto más barato y eficiente.

The widespread use of enzymes peroxidases (POD) being a biotechnology revolution in our century. The many applications that can be attributed to these enzymes makes them an important source of income. The widespread use of horseradish peroxidase, peroxidase or horsderadish also known as HRP, is generally due to their potential for conjugation with immunoglobulins and ease to be seen in colorimetric tests, though, all is not glory in this way. Purification of HRP as export processes are expensive ultimately. 2 The use of peroxidases enzymes secreted by plants (Class III) as from carrot, Daucus carota, may involve not only a saving in purification methods but to save the problems with the HRP to react with new substrates. In general, the alternative use of a POD Class III secreted by plants can be a significant advance in the use of the enzyme and obtaining a cheaper and more efficient product.
