EL MERCADO DE TRABAJO Y EL DESEMPLEO

Abstract

[EN] In recent years we have experienced an unusual health and global situation that has had an important impact on the labor market at all levels, causing a destabilization in the economy of all the countries affected. In this special context, it is necessary to see how the unemployment rate has changed and how it has evolved over time, especially once the health restrictions have been removed and the labor reform passed in March, when it also came into effect. In this context, it should be considered that not all groups have faced this exceptional situation in the same way, nor have they recovered equally, since the measures aiming at their recovery have not been the same either. Therefore, the purpose of this research project is to analyze and study the unemployment data referring to unemployed people over the age of 45 in Spain, mainly from 2019 to the first quarter of the year 2022.
