Contribución del sector energético al cumplimiento de los ODS

Abstract

Los ODS son la herramienta de la ONU para llevar a cabo las políticas contenidas en la Agenda 2030 y se encuentran en España en plena ejecución. La finalidad de los ODS, es la de alcanzar la paz, el fin de la pobreza y la protección del medio ambiente. El objetivo del presente documento será el de intentar explicar, la importancia de los ODS, la composición del sector energético español y su papel decisivo en la economía, y por último, la síntesis de ambos, sirviéndonos de la herramienta de los Indicadores Energéticos de desarrollo Sostenible (IEDS) propuestos por la IAEA. Los IEDS son métodos fiables para medir y evaluar los efectos actuales y futuros del uso de la energía, ayudando así a identificar si se están consiguiendo los objetivos de forma eficaz y facilitar de esta manera la toma de decisiones a los encargados de desarrollar las políticas energéticas.
