Abstract

[ES] El objetivo de este trabajo es la determinación de las propiedades geotécnicas de muestras recogidas en el término de Lupión, situado al Noroeste de la Provincia de Jaén, compuestas por materiales blandos (margas) del Mioceno Superior. Se Se han caracterizado problemas geotécnicos del terreno en la zona de estudio que han afectado gravemente a las infraestructuras, ocasionando pérdidas económicas de consideración. Se ha ubicado geográficamente la zona, comentando el contexto geológico de la misma en relación con los problemas detectados. Posteriormente, se expone con detalle las propiedades geotécnicas generales y composición de las margas, estudiada mediante difracción de rayos X y microscopio electrónico de barrido, junto con los problemas que han ocasionado. Para finalizar, se discutirán los problemas geotécnicos detectados en la zona en base a los resultados obtenidos en los distintos ensayos, con el objetivo de ayudar en la planificación de futuras actuaciones. [EN] The objective of this work was to study the geotechnical properties of several samples from the Lupión Municipality (Northwest Jaén), composed of soft materials (marls) from the Upper Miocene. Geotechnical problems of soils, which have seriously affected human infrastructures, causing considerable economic losses, have been characterized. The study area has been geographically located, highlighting its geological context in relation to the problems described. Then, the general geotechnical properties of soils and the marl composition, studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope, are discussed in detail, together with the problems they have caused. Finally, the geotechnical problems detected in the area have been explained based on the results of the geotechnical and compositional tests, with the aim of assisting in the planning of future actions.
