Nuevos aditivos para la mejora de propiedades contra el fuego de recubrimientos industriales de madera

Abstract

[ES] La creciente conciencia ecológica ha llevado a la industria en general a estudiar alternativas a sus producciones tradicionales. En la industria de los recubrimientos esta preocupación ha derivado en la búsqueda de productos más sostenibles en sustitución de los hasta ahora altamente perjudiciales para la salud y el medio ambiente empleados. Este proyecto se ha propuesto encontrar una alternativa a los éteres de difenilo polibromados y a los compuestos de boro como agentes ignifugantes para madera para dos métodos de aplicación. Por un lado, se han empleado diferentes productos para baños abiertos de impregnación, proporcionados por Avanzare Innovación Tecnológica, y se han testeado para obtener aquel que mejores resultados arrojase, siempre de acuerdo a normas de calidad nacional e internacional (Fase 1). Por otro lado, se han añadido diferentes aditivos a un barniz tapaporos para obtener aquel que, cumpliendo con las condiciones europeas de calidad medioambiental (Certificado Ecolabel), proporcionase unos resultados ignífugos favorables y además no afectase en gran medida a las propiedades intrínsecas del barniz empleado como matriz (Fase 2).
