El lenguaje estudiantil de Costa Rica: el disfemismo como medio de identificación

Abstract

El presente estudio sociolingüístico ofrece un análisis del léxico de los estudiantes2 costarricences. El uso frecuente del disfemismo llama la atención en el habla estudiantil. Dado que, varios autores, como López Morales, entre otros, han clasificado al eufemismo como una característica del lenguaje juvenil; también se investigará si se establece un balance entre la frecuencia del uso del eufemismo y del disfemismo. Primero, se presentará un análisis estructural y semántico de los eufemismos y disfemismos con el propósito de conocer los mecanismos lingüísticos que emplean los informantes en la formación de los dos fenómenos. Además, se analizarán las funciones pragmáticas y la motivación de los estudiantes para crear las sustituciones eufemísticas y disfemísticas.
