En este estudio de caso se analiza el desarrollo organizacional de la empresa CDA DIVECOL LTDA con el fin de establecer cuáles han sido las causas de la desactualización en la estructura organizativa y el deficiente funcionamiento organizacional que no permite un desempeño óptimo de su personal. Para esto se realizó una investigación cualitativa con enfoque al área de conocimiento de gerencia organizacional, pues se hacía necesario evaluar los procesos llevados a cabo en la empresa, así como sus sistemas; lo anterior se hizo aplicando la técnica de la entrevista a una muestra de 10 colaboradores de diferentes áreas de la empresa. Tras recopilar la información se logró evidenciar que la falta estaba en el área de recursos humanos, siendo esta parte de la estructura organizacional y del organigrama de la compañía y, aunque algunos colaboradores realizaban funciones propias de personal de esta dependencia, la misma no estaba conformada como tal. Se propone entonces su creación, así como el nombramiento de su respectivo jefe, con el fin de mejorar mucho más la estructura organizacional, así como para atender los problemas del personal. In this case study, the organizational development of the company CDA DIVECOL LTDA is analyzed in order to establish what have been the causes of the outdated organizational structure and poor organizational functioning that does not allow optimal performance of its staff. For this, a qualitative research was carried out with a focus on the area of knowledge of organizational management, since it was necessary to evaluate the processes carried out in the company, as well as its systems; This was done by applying the interview technique to a sample of 10 employees from different areas of the company. After collecting the information, it was possible to show that the lack was in the area of human resources, this being part of the organizational structure and organization chart of the company and, although some collaborators performed functions of personnel of this dependency, it was not made up of as such. Its creation is then proposed, as well as the appointment of its respective chief, in order to further improve the organizational structure, as well as to address personnel problems.
