Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se centra en el análisis de las habilidades de lectura y escritura que conservan las personas adultas con Discapacidad Intelectual. Se inicia el trabajo realizando una revisión bibliográfica para analizar la conceptualización de la Discapacidad Intelectual a lo largo de la historia, abordando los distintos grados, su etiología y, más concretamente, los problemas que presentan a la hora de aprender a leer y escribir que manifiestan los niños y niñas con Discapacidad Intelectual y a la hora de mantener dichas habilidades cuando llegan a la edad adulta. Una vez recabada esta información, se procede a realizar un estudio con el objetivo de evaluar el grado en que se mantienen estas habilidades en las personas adultas que acuden al Centro de Apoyo a la Integración (CAI) de Carreño que las habían adquirido en su etapa educativa. Para ello se realizan una serie de intervenciones, aplicando materiales de elaboración propia, y se analizan los resultados de las mimas valorando el grado de ajuste a unos indicadores previamente establecidos.
