Abstract

Estudios de Permanencia es un proyecto fotográfico e instalativo, que persigue aunar el conocimiento artístico y científico, con la finalidad de realizar aproximaciones a los sucesos que tienen lugar en un entorno naturalizado, es decir, que presenta cierta libertad en cuanto al control de los procesos naturales. Éste se encuentra claramente acotado mediante lo que podríamos llamar fronteras. La búsqueda de lo invisible a simple vista, realizada a través de recorridos, encuentra respuestas gracias a la permanencia, pues ésta es la base de la observación, la comprensión e incluso del propio ser, ya que todo lo que «es», permanece al menos el tiempo suficiente como para ser detectado. Es en esta detección donde entra en juego la metodología cercana a la ciencia, basada en los principios de máxima objetividad, inteligibilidad, máxima dialéctica y reproducibilidad. Pero sabemos que el conocimiento científico siempre contiene un cierto grado de incertidumbre, pues la observación es inevitablemente limitada e incide en lo observado, con lo cual, las conclusiones deben contener a la fuerza un determinado margen de error. Es posible que ese margen de error sea precisamente lo que otorga fuerza al arte, a la vez que puede que sea aquello que tanto atraía a los artistas románticos en forma de subjetividad. Es decir, la contemplación de la belleza allí donde no llega la razón.
