Abstract

Las unidades de medición fasorial (PMU) son un recurso tecnológico que faculta con gran precisión la observación del estado dinámico del sistema eléctrico de potencia. Los avances tecnológicos y las investigaciones en este campo, permiten mediante las PMU (Phasor Measurement Units), la obtención de fasores de tensiones y corrientes de forma sincronizada. Este articulo presenta los aspectos principales de los sistemas de medición fasorial y una reseña histórica sobre su evolución en el tiempo en la cual se muestra su arquitectura. Finalmente, se despliegan algunas aplicaciones de estos dispositivos . Esta investigación se realizó gracias al apoyo de colciencias en el programa Jóvenes Investigadores e Innovadores Virginia Gutiérrez de Pineda.
