Abstract

La mitología grecolatina está muy presente en la literatura infantil para dar a conocer el mito. No obstante, existen obras en las que el mito se inserta en otras narraciones de manera que a la mera función epistemológica se añade la lúdica y la didáctica. En estos casos los autores se sirven de una serie de mecanismos de adaptación que facilitan su acercamiento a la Antigüedad clásica y a la identificación del lector con los protagonistas del relato. El primer autor en hacer uso de estos en Brasil fue Monteiro Lobato en O Minotauro y Os doze trabalhos de Hércules. En este trabajo se analizarán los mecanismos de adaptación que operan en su obra O Minotauro y la reutilización particular y didáctica que Lobato hace del mito.
