Marprof y el cangrejo rey

Abstract

Desde su primera captura documentada en Canarias en 1985 por este grupo de investigación, a bordo del Buque Oceanográfico “Taliarte” del ICCM, diversos proyectos han demostrado la presencia de poblaciones de cangrejo rey de moderada importancia en estas islas. La actividad pesquera/marisquera sobre este recurso en Canarias se encuentra en estado incipiente, con capturas comerciales moderadas en Gran Canaria y ocasionales en las restantes islas. A pesar de ello, es poco conocido por los pescadores y restauradores canarios.
