Se estudian los cambios de volumen inducidos por la adrenalina y la polimixina B en mastocitos pleurales y peritoneales de ratón. La adrenalina provoca hinchamiento de ambas poblaciones, siendo más destacado el fenómeno en los mastocitos peritoneales. El cambio de volumen debido a la polimixina B es consecuencia de la desgranulación que provoca en las células.
