Iniciativas pedagógicas em otorrinolaringologia

Abstract

Theoretical lessons, although an efficient way of knowledge transmission, can’t be considered effective in teaching practical skills. The best teaching methods are those that focus on students’ activities and their task performance. In the context of the Pedagogical Initiatives implemented by the University Clinic of Otorhinolaryngology in the second semester of the academic year 2017-2017, in the context of the “Project ORL, Society and Environment”, we analyzed the satisfaction of the 173 students involved and the impact of these Initiatives in the expectations related to Otorhynolaringology subjet, through and online survey. The results show that students, in a global way, are satisfied with the developed activities and they agree that it was possible to learn Otorhinolaryngology and acquire new knowledge by participating on them. Besides that, the students’ expectations regarding the subjet were, mostly, matched or exceeded.
