Qualidade de vida nos ostomizados

Abstract

Introdução: Estoma é abertura de uma víscera oca com o exterior. Os estomas criados cirurgicamente, denominam-se de ostomias. O utente portador de uma ostomia de eliminação intestinal, manifesta um misto de emoções resultante do enorme impacto físico e emocional, que, quer a doença, quer o seu tratamento (ostomia) impõem na sua vida, desencadeando alterações profundas no seu EU, nos estilos de vida, nas relações familiares e sociais, na sua imagem corporal e na autoestima. Os principais objetivos deste trabalho consistem em: 1. Definir os diferentes tipos de ostomia, a sua fisiologia, indicação, construção e complicações; 2. Conceptualizar e identificar formas de avaliação da Qualidade de vida; 3. Identificar e analisar os fatores determinantes da qualidade de vida da pessoa ostomizada; 4. Analisar o impacto da estomaterapia na adaptação ao estoma; 5. Avaliar a perceção que a pessoa ostomizada tem sobre a sua qualidade de vida; 6. Caracterizar o ostomizado do CHCB. Metodologia: O trabalho dividiu-se em duas partes, sendo que numa primeira fase, foi feita uma revisão de literatura, utilizando as seguintes bases de dados para recolha de informação, pubmed, scielo, LILACS, clinicalkey, OWM, ResearchGate. Na segunda parte, foi realizada uma entrevista aos estomaterapeutas do CHCB com o intuito, de compreender como se processa a consulta de estomaterapia e identificar os fatores determinantes da qualidade de vida do ostomizado que frequenta estas consultas.

Introduction: Stomach or intestinal elimination ostomy results from a surgical procedure that involves the connection of a part of the small or large intestine, to an external orifice in the abdominal cavity called the stoma. The patient with an intestinal ostomy, reveal strong and negative emotions due to his illness and treatment. These emotions make him different in his lifestyle, social and family relationships, body image and self-esteem. The main goals of this essay are: 1. Definition of the different types of ostomies, physiology, indications, creation and complications 2. Define and identify different instruments for quality of life assessment 3. Identify and analyze the main issues in quality of life of the ostomized 4. Recognize the stomatherapy impact in stomas adaptation 5. Evaluate ostomized´s perceptions about his own QoL 6. Definied CHCB´s ostomized Methodology: This essay was made in 2 parts. In the first part, it was made a review of articles about the theme. The information was collect from pubmed, scielo, LILACS, clinicalkey, OWM, ResearchGate.The second part, was composed with a interview to 2 stomatherapist of the CHCB, with purpose to identify and analized the profile of the patients of CHCB that have an ostomy.
