Qualidade 4.0: Os Desafios Futuros da Gestão da Qualidade

Abstract

Quality is an indispensable pillar for any sector of activity. This organizational area has gone through several evolutionary stages during human history, which have always been accompanied by Industrial Revolutions. Currently, the world is in the 4th Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0, this advent is characterized by technologies and digitalization, and therefore the quality management will need to adapt to meet the new market needs and the characteristics of the factories of the future. Quality Management is in a phase of evolution, as it presents trends that accompany the transition to the Industry 4.0 model. With the help of the new tools of this industry, there can be a constant improvement of processes, products and also of operational performance, thus giving rise to a new perspective of quality, the so-called Quality 4.0. The present dissertation has as general objective to promote a discussion among the thoughts of several authors about the development of quality control in the context of Industry 4.0, and to present as a contribution the application of technologies and devices of Industry 4.0 to quality management, particularly to processes of quality control.
