Porta-enxertos – resultados da experimentação na região do DÃO

Abstract

Neste trabalho vamos apresentar alguns resultados dos principais trabalhos de experimentação em porta-enxertos levados a cabo pelo Centro de Estudos Vitivinícolas do Dão. O primeiro conjunto de resultados refere-se à comparação de 5 porta-enxertos (110 R, 99 R, 420 A, 161- 49 C e 3309 C), em 6 castas do encepamento da região do Dão (3 tintas e 3 brancas) e foram obtidos num antigo ensaio de longa duração (1957 - 1987). Em termos de produção, verificouse que em geral o 110 R foi o porta-enxerto mais produtivo, enquanto que o 3309 C foi o menos produtivo. Relativamente ao álcool provável os maiores valores foram obtidos com o 110 R e o 3309 C, enquanto que os menores se obtiveram com o 420 A. No vigor, não se verificou nenhuma tendência, variando com a casta. Com vista a permitir relacionar estes dados com outros mais recentes, apresentam-se alguns resultados de ensaios instalados no anos 90, em que se compararam os porta-enxertos 99 R e 110 R, nas castas Touriga Nacional, Jaen e Tinta Roriz. O 99 R conduziu a melhores produções, mas foi o 110 R que garantiu as melhores características qualitativas do mosto. No ensaio instalado com as castas brancas Malvasia Fina, Encruzado e Gouveio, enxertadas em 110 R e 1103 P, o comportamento dos dois porta-enxertos foi distinto com a casta
