Abstract

Estudam-se, na perspectiva da sua taxonomia, sete perfis de Solos Litólicos Não Húmicos do Sul do País (região de Montemor-o-Novo), os quais foram observados durante um reconhecimento pedológico detalhado ali efectuado. Esses solos apresentam um conjunto de características morfológicas, físicas e químicas que não permite a sua filiação taxonómica no único Grupo que a actual Classificação dos Solos de Portugal considera naquela Subordem. Há então que criar ai um novo Grupo, cuja designação preferível se entende ser a de Solos Litólicos Não Húmicos Insaturados, o que implica a alteração do nome do Grupo existente
