Abstract

A presente dissertação tem como objetivo a elaboração de um documento que reúna e sistematize a interoperabilidade ferroviária no que refere principalmente à bitola na Península Ibérica, em termos de compatibilização com a bitola Europeia. Pretende-se no essencial que este documento possa servir como ferramenta de trabalho para quem atue essencialmente na área da ferrovia e na procura das melhores soluções e mais ajustadas à realidade portuguesa, tanto em termos económicos, como técnicos, relativamente a um sistema que se caracteriza por uma vida útil considerável. Em síntese, o presente trabalho incidirá sobre a relevância da migração da bitola ibérica (1668mm) para a bitola europeia (1435mm) ou da coexistência entre as duas bitolas. Este documento está suportado na pesquisa e análise de soluções e deliberações já implementadas.

Abstract: This dissertation aims at the drafting of a document that gathers and systematizes railway interoperability, in what concerns mainly the compatibility of gauges between the Iberian Peninsula and the Europe. Is essential aim that this document will serve as a working tool for those who work primarily in railroad area and in the search for the better solutions and more adjusted to the reality Portuguese, both in economic terms, as technicians, for a system characterized which has a considerable life span. In summary, this paper will focus on the relevance of either migrating the Iberian gauge (1668mm) into the European gauge (1435 mm) or the coexistence between the two gauges. The present paper is based on the research and analysis of solutions and deliberations already implemented.
