Enquadramento: O conforto tem sido considerado um conceito importante, fundamental e intimamente ligado à prática de enfermagem, assumindo-se como um resultado desejado para a prestação de cuidados. Objetivo: Identificar, sintetizar e analisar o conhecimento existente acerca das característicasassociadas ao conforto prejudicado. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa da literatura assente na metodologia PICo. A pesquisa foi realizada no motor de busca EBSCO, no Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal enas bases de dados SciELO e SciELO Portugal, com o friso temporal de 2009 a 2017. Resultados: Foram selecionados quatro artigos que envolveram pessoas e familiares a quem foram prestados cuidados de enfermagem. Os resultados evidenciaram como características de conforto prejudicado a dor, a privação do sono, o medo, o cansaço, a sede, a fome, a anorexia, a astenia, a ansiedade, a incerteza da recuperação, o défice de confiança nos profissionais, a prática religiosa diminuída, as mudanças no ambiente familiar, social e profissional, a dependência nas atividades de vida diária e a presença de dispositivos médicos invasivos e não invasivos. Conclusão: Comparativamente com as características que definem o diagnóstico de conforto prejudicado da classificação NANDA, existem outras expressas na literatura que não são incluídas nesta nomenclatura.
Background: Comfort has been considered an important concept, fundamental and closely linked to nursing practice, assuming itself as a care desired result. Objective: To identify, synthesise and analyse existing knowledge about the characteristics associated with impaired comfort. Methodology: Integrative literature review based on PICo methodology. The research was carried out in EBSCO search engine, Portugal Open Access Scientific Repository, SciELO and SciELO Portugal databases, from 2009 to 2017. Results: Four articles that involved people and families who received nursing care were selected. The results showed as impaired comfort characteristics, pain, sleep deprivation, fear, fatigue, thirst, hunger, anorexia, asthenia, anxiety, recovery uncertainty, confidence deficit in professionals, reduced religious practice, changes in family, social and professional environment, daily living activities dependence, and the presence of invasive and non-invasive medical devices. Conclusion: Compared with the characteristics that define the NANDA impaired comfort diagnosis, there are other characteristics expressed in the literature that are not included in this nomenclature.
