A reflorestação emergente nas zonas peri-urbanas

Abstract

The theme of this dissertation, aims to address the importance of the creation and existence of green belts in peri-urban areas.. I begin by addressing this issue, referring to the urban growth that has been occurring in recent years, and I conciliate this issue with the problem of population overcrowding and services in cities. Then, a small approach is made about the concept of peri-urban areas and the current need for their occupation, showing how it is possible to create ecologically more sustainable cities. That said, the whole issue that led us to the realization of this dissertation - “Emerging reforestation in per-urban areas“ is exposed and addressed with greater development. Addressing the importance, the role, the economic and environmental benefits, and the political measures to be adopted for the implementation of the green belts. The main objective is to demonstrate the importance of these spaces in the environmental sphere, in health and in the life of Portuguese society.
