Abstract

Durante as primeiras décadas do século XXI as novas sociedades de informação evoluíram de forma frenética e globalizada. Passamos a viver num tempo onde tudo é feito com base na interconexão e partilha contante, uma aldeia global sem fronteiras, onde a tradição é reconvertida em novas práticas e costumes, questionada e transformada de acordo com os ideais e valores de cada um. A tecnologia passou a fazer parte do nosso dia-a-dia, através da qual partilhamos os nossos sonhos e angústias, trocando antigas experiências sensoriais por relações distantes e incompletas, ao mesmo tempo que assistimos gradualmente à queda da nossa multiplicidade em prol de uma singularidade solitária. Este novo paradigma da individualização está a guiar-nos paulatinamente para um mundo homogéneo no qual as diferenças tendem a ser vistas como algo intolerável e as vozes divergentes asfixiadas por uma sociedade frenética sem tempo para reflexão, assente na exploração da privacidade, do íntimo, alimentando gratuitamente indústrias tecnológicas como a Google, o Facebook, a Microsoft ou a Amazon que, aliadas aos grandes poderes políticos, estão a raptar a nossa alma sem que disso nos apercebamos.
