Recomendações de Boas-Práticas em Arqueologia de Ambientes Húmidos

Abstract

Wetland environments hold an enormous potential to preserve organic materials. Consequently, an archaeological strategy applied to these environments should include all the components that allow to enhance this singular heritage. In recent years there has been a growing need to carry out interventions and research in wetland environments and accordingly new professional requirements arise both in enterprise, academia and public administration contexts. In this regard, the Professional Archaeology Committee of the Association of Portuguese Archaeologists (AAP) has set up a working group to develop a document of recommendations for good practices in wetland archaeology, that aims to be a reference document to support archaeologists and researchers.
