Repovoamento de estruturas fortificadas. Monsaraz como caso de estudo

Abstract

[ENG] The objective of this research is to propitiate the reoccupation of Portuguese medieval fortified settlements, wich are in advanced state of abandonment —as is the case of Monsaraz. This operation is proposed to be achieved by the creation of an incentive provided to the population— the supply of free energy available through ecological systems of production, from renewable sources, in integrated community models and centralized management. The aim is to review the model of restoration and recovery of fortified structures, as well as to contribute to a more reasonable energy account and a more balanced distribution of population.
