Analyses of the meaning of creativity. Based upon Land's transformational theory, a discussion about life being considered as the origin of the whole creative process, how it is manifested in the different organizational levels is presented, and some principies about the nature of the creative process are established. Such a discussion is followed by an analysis of research results from which some factors that effect the creativity development are drawn.

Análise do significado de criatividade. A partir da teoria transformacional de Land, considera-se a vida como origem de todo o processo criador e procura-se mostrar como ela se manifesta em diferentes níveis de organização, estabelecendo-se alguns princípios sobre a natureza do processo criativo. Segue-se uma análise de pesquisas científicas por meio da qual são destacados vários fatores que influem no desenvolvimento da criatividade.
