W. waren / Das Bildchen ist mir auch lieb, weil Tante Berta (geb. Held) väterlicher- / seits aus Braunfels stammt. [z. T. mit Bleistift durchgestrichen] / Anna Waser war einige Jahre dort / Hofmalerin der Grafen Solms. Tante Berta gab Maria / Waser für ihren Roman (die Geschichte / der Anna Waser) Détails über / die Stadt Braunfels und Umgegend. / Vielleicht hat A. W.s / Lehrer Werner-Bern / dies Portr gemalt"
