Abstract

This article discuss how the Assessment of Life Habits (LIFE-H) can be used to describe the level of accomplishment of life habits of people with disabilities when having to explain to an insurance company what are the disabling situations they face on a regular basis in order to receive salary insurance benefits. This article also presents, in its Appendix, a case-study produced with this assessment tool. It shows how the LIFE-H makes possible the description of real-life situations experienced by persons with disabilities unable to maintain employment in a job sufficiently remunerative for them to survive.
