Du concept au fan, au coeur de l’expérience

Abstract

Depuis l’après-guerre, l’orientation du cinéma (américain principalement) vers la jeunesse en a fait un véhicule idéal de placement de produits, y compris la destination. Le spectateur qui endosse l’image d’un lieu proposée par le film est appelé à développer des séjours spécialisés autour de cette production. C’est le phénomène du ciné-tourisme. Cet article étudie le phénomène comme exercice social afin d’en comprendre le contexte, son potentiel et ses principales répercussions sur ses participants mais aussi sur la destination. Il démontre la variété de motivations des ciné-touristes et s’attarde à l’expérience des fans et de leur rapport avec la destination, marquée notamment par la nostalgie et la recherche de sécurité.
