La orgía imaginaria en Violación en Polanco

Abstract

El siguiente artículo explora cómo la novela Violación en Polanco (1980) del escritor mexicano Armando Ramírez (1952-2019) utiliza la violencia para construir una «fabula de identidad» (Ludmer, 1995). La construcción del delincuente o «anormal» (Foucault, 2000), a través del discurso literario, podría pensarse como una mediación simbólica (Williams, 1980) del fracaso de la modernidad en Latinoamérica. La investigación muestra que a partir de la «violencia subjetiva» (Žižek, 2009) que escenifica, esta obra literaria puede considerarse una novela negra o criminal, según las consideraciones de teóricos del género como Ricardo Piglia, Ignacio Paco Taibo II y Mempo Giardinelli. Por lo tanto, la novela de Ramírez se constituye en un texto crítico sobre la realidad social mexicana de fines de siglo XX.
