RESUMO: Apresenta-se o tema da arquitetura e urbanismo modernos na África Portuguesa dos anos 1950-1970. Os seus antecedentes e contextualização. Os valores coletivos e humanos dessa arquitetura moderna. Dão-se exemplos de obras e autores, nos cinco territórios coloniais luso-africanos. Faz-se reflexão sobre a herança patrimonial atual dessas arquiteturas e cidades, nos PALOP. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Arquitetura Moderna / África Subsaariana / África Portuguesa ABSTRACT: This article discusses the theme of modern Portuguese architecture in SubSaharan Africa with a focus on architecture and urbanism from the 1950s to the 1970s. The collective and human values of this architecture is referenced. Examples of buildings, projects and authors from the five ex-colonial areas, now independent countries, are presented.
