Abstract

Este trabajo explora, desde la historia, los marcos sociales que sustentan la memoria colectiva de los migrantes mexicanos que se asentaron en Tijuana entre 1960 y 1990. La investigación se concentra en tres aspectos clave: los procesos de rememoración de la experiencia migratoria, el significado atribuido al arraigo en la ciudad y las rupturas de esta memoria a partir de 2018, frente a nuevas olas migratorias transnacionales. La memoria colectiva , entendida como un proceso reflexivo y social, nos permite explorar cómo los recuerdos individuales se entrelazan para formar una narrativa migrante continua, moldeada por las relaciones sociales significativas dentro del grupo. Este enfoque busca desentrañar de qué manera se configuró y resignificó el sentido de pertenencia en el contexto de transformaciones sociales recientes. Ante la nueva coyuntura migratoria, se busca determinar si los marcos sociales de esta memoria se han mantenido o han sido resignificados, contribuyendo a comprender cómo las narrativas de los migrantes mexicanos de generaciones anteriores han sido afectadas o reforzadas, y si han surgido nuevas formas de interpretar la migración y el arraigo en la ciudad.
