Trabajos preliminares sobre materiales constructivos coloniales en el Parque Provincial Ibatín

Abstract

Nuestro propósito es dar a conocer una serie de trabajos iniciados con el fin de explorar la vivienda colonial a partir del análisis de materiales constructivos en el sitio arqueológico de Ibatín. La vía experimental para conseguirlo ha pasado por el análisis macroscópico de restos arqueológicos, y la identificación de microrestos vegetales asociados a sedimentos de los distintos objetos encontrados en sondeos y excavaciones. Creemos que estos trabajos permiten observar la utilización de los recursos tanto minerales como vegetales, por parte de los pobladores españoles en un medio totalmente distinto al que conocían y acercarnos a las técnicas de confección de los materiales constructivos. Si bien esta investigación es preliminar, los resultados obtenidos nos hacen pensar en la utilización por parte de los habitantes de Ibatín de recursos autóctonos propios de una región pedemontana en la que se desarrollaron las yungas.
