La educación como factor de movilidad social

Abstract

Las estadísticas que se presentan en este estudio sugieren que en Colombia existe una relación de causalidad entre educación e ingresos, pues aun si se mantiene el origen social del individuo constante, hay una relación positiva entre educación e ingresos que es estadísticamente significativa. Es decir, que las encuestas aquí examinadas refuerzan la hipótesis de que en Colombia la educación puede aumentar la productividad, y por lo tanto los ingresos, de quienes pasan por el sistema escolar. Esto a su vez apoya la teoría de que un esfuerzo por aumentar la educación primaria podría ayudar con el tiempo a mejorar la distribución del ingreso entre quienes perciben rentas de trabajo.
