Theologische Ethik als Ideologiekritik

Abstract

[Theological Ethics as a Critique of Ideology. Contributions to Business Ethics, Medical Ethics, Political Ethics and Environmental and Technological Ethics] Theological ethics is currently undergoing a process of reorientation and self-positioning. In this collection of his most important essays on business ethics, medical ethics, political ethics and environmental and technological ethics, the author shows that theological ethics can make a specific and important contribution to the ethical discourse by discovering - on the basis of fundamental insights from the Reformation - ideology criticism as its core competence and core task. While all reflections on specialized individual ethical questions quickly lose their topicality, ideology-critical considerations of principle remain topical, and are perhaps currently more necessary than ever before.
