PENINGKATAN NILAI JUAL KOMODITAS JAGUNG MELALUI PENGGUNAAN MESIN PENGGILING JAGUNG

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan nilai komuditi jagung. Harga biji jagung siap dirontok ini berkisar Rp.1.000,- – Rp. 1.500,- perkilonya. Nilai jual bisa ditingkatkan lagi aabila jagung dilakukan penumbukan sehingga pembeli jagung tumbuk untuk kosentrat pakan ayam tidak lagi membutukan proses penghalusan untuk campuran pakan ayam mereka. Harga jagung yang telah di tumbuk ini mencapai Rp. 3.500,- perkilonya. Perbedaan harga ini cukup signifikan. Sebahagian petani melakuan penumbukan biji jagung dengan cara manual. Sehingga waktu dan tenaga yang dibutuhkan menadi lama dan banyak. Melalui pengabdian ini tim pengabdian ingin melakukan inovasi untuk meningkatkan nilai jual komoditi jagung pakan ayam di kenagarian Lingkuang Aua Timur Kecamatan Pasaman Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Mesin penggiling jagung yang direncanakan memiliki konsep seperti diskmild dengan rancangan blade segi lima. Motor penggerak yang direncanakan menggunakan motor bensing 5,5 HP. Estimasi mesin penggiling ini mampu melakukan penggilingan jagung 100 Kg/jam nya. Harapan tim pengabdian dengan adanya mesin penggiling jagung ini mampu meningkatkan nilai jual jagung dan berdampak pada peningkatan ekonomi para petani jagung di Kenagarian Lingkuang Aua Timur Kecamatan Pasaman Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Mesin ini akan diserahkan pada kelompok tani Boncah Bungo Tanjuang yang berada di Kenagarian Lingkuang Aua Timur untuk dikelola dan dimanfaatkan masyarakat.
