Transtornos mentais comuns em secretários de programas de pós-graduação

Abstract

Um estudo epidemiológico de corte transversal investigou a associação entre transtornos mentais comuns (TMC) e aspectos psicossociais e do ambiente físico do trabalho de secretários de 63 programas de pós-graduação de uma universidade federal brasileira. Num questionário autoaplicado, coletou-se informações sociodemográficas e do ambiente físico de trabalho dos secretários e aplicou-se o “Job Content Questionnaire”, o Questionário Índice de Capacidade para o Trabalho e o "Self-Reporting Questionnaire-20". A prevalência global de TMC foi de 21,0% nos 100 secretários investigados e mais elevada (38,1%) naqueles com baixo controle e alta demanda no trabalho. A capacidade para o trabalho foi referida como moderada (18,0%) ou baixa (1,0%). Capacidade para o trabalho foi moderada ou baixa em 66,7% dos secretários com TMC e de apenas 6,3% naqueles sem TMC. A prevalência de TMC associou-se inversamente à ventilação, temperatura, iluminação e ruído do ambiente de trabalho e à elaboração do Relatório CAPES.
