Paikan pedagogiikka

Abstract

Visuaalisessa esseessä kysytään, mitä paikan nimeäminen opettajaksi ehdottaa kuvataidekasvatuksen toimintatavoille. Mitä pedagogisesti merkityksellistä voi tapahtua, kun kehojen materiaalisuudet tulevat kosketuksiin paikan materiaalisuuksien sekä muiden paikkoja asuttavien kanssa? Miten paikka tapahtuu meissä? Essee perustuu Nykytaidekasvatus-kurssin yhteydessä vuosina 2020–2024 tuotettuihin aineistoihin. Kurssin käytäntöjä sekä niiden taustalla olevaa pedagogista ajattelua tarkastellaan uusmaterialismin, feministisen pedagogiikan sekä paikkasidonnaisen taiteen viitekehyksessä. Essee hahmottelee nykytaidekasvatuksen ihmisenjälkeistä paikka-ajattelua tietämisen, tavallisuuden ja erityisyyden, ajan, yhteisön ja utopian teemojen kautta.
